Ed's Photo Album

July 2014 – June 2015

About Ed's Album:
Past President Ed Fullerton is quite handy with his digital camera. We started Ed's Photo Album some years ago when Ed first offered some photos to the Web site. We've added many photos since then and, as you'll see, Ed now has additional members helping him. We've kept the original name to recognize the Rotarian who started sharing Club photos on the Web. (NOTE: Ed was District Governor of District 5130 in 2008-09.)

Our Rotary year came to a close on June 27, 2015 with the Debunking of outgoing President Michael Caruana and the installation of our new President, Gary Brodie. Building on Michael's passion for Arabian horses, the event had an Arabian Nights theme. Michael Nistler was on hand to record the night’s happenings on video. Click on these YouTube screens to relive highlights of the evening.

This first video shows President Michael’s grand arrival and the welcoming he received from a young women performing torso articulation.

If you are old enough to be a member of this Club you remember Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show. One of the show’s recurring comedy routines featured Carnac the Magnificent, a mystic from the East who could psychically divine unknown answers to unseen questions. These two videos show Mike Baddeley (for Ed McMahon) feeding envelopes from the hermetically sealed mayonaise jar to our own Carnac, Gary Brodie (“Carnac the Imbecile”). Somehow the answers and questions all reflected on our outgoing President, who took the abuse in good humor.

This fourth video shows the member recognitions and transfer of authority that concluded the evening.

A spring luncheon at our adopted school, McKinley Elementary, is an annual tradition. We enjoy the great barbecue lunch, but most of all we enjoy the kids. Among this year’s scientific demonstrations was the “naked egg drop”, where students devise contraptions to catch (without cracking) raw eggs dropped from great heights. Michael Nistler and Al Cattalini shot photos at the May 7, 2015 event; you can see them here. You'll find more photos on McKinley’s Facebook Page.

We enjoyed the traditional polenta and stew with lots of conviviality at our Farmers and Merchants Night on April 10, 2015. Here are some photos of a fun evening.

When we learned that our former meeting place, Mister McGoo's, was closing after a 50-year stand, we knew we just had to have one more meeting there. It happened on March 25, 2015 and here are some photos of the bittersweet occasion.

February 22, 2015 was the date of our annual Crab Feed and Super Raffle. Here are some photos taken at the Crab Feed. For great, professional photos taken by John O'Hara for the Argus Courier, click here.

We trekked out to Two Rock for our annual Coast Guard luncheon on January 16, 2015. Here are some photos taken that day.

Our annual Holiday Party was December 6 at the Moose Lodge. Here are some photos taken at the 2014 party.

The Club celebrated the first game of the World Series with a social at Taps on the turning basin. We had lots of fun as we cheered the Giants on to a 7-1 victory. Here are some photos taken at the October 21, 2014 event.

It was a beautiful day at the Petaluma Golf and Country Club where the Club held its annual Golf Tournament on September 15, 2014.
