William Q. Lawrence

 

LAWRENCE, William Q. Passed away at home in Petaluma, CA, May 7, 2003. Beloved husband of Kathy O’Brien Lawrence and the late Shirley Lawrence. Loving father of Barry Lawrence and Jeanette Gambogi and her husband Richard. Step father of Colleen and Scott White, Bonnie and Mark Johnston, Pat O’Brien and Joe, Timaree O’Brien, Jamie and Rosa O’Brien. Grandfather of 11. Uncle of Ann Lucchesi, Paul Wynne, Mark Joerger, Mike Joerger. Brother-in-law of Phillip L. Joerger. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Fedora, SD. Age 82 years. Mr. Lawrence was reared and educated in Minnesota and later served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. A Sonoma County resident since 1949, his careers have included being a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray Dance Studios, operating a dairy ranch with his brother-in-law Phillip Joerger, real estate broker in Penngrove and a co-founder of Eagle Ridge Winery. He served as a past president of the American Dairy Association and was the founder of the Annual Dairy Princess Ball, which is held in Petaluma. Bill was also a co-founder and past president of Heritage Homes of Petaluma as well as being a member of Petaluma Lodge #901 B.P.O.E., Petaluma Rotary Club and S.I.R.S. #100. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Ave. & Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA.
